PlayStation®4 와 PlayStation®VR의 놀라운 경험을 가져다 줄 타이틀 공개


2016년 6월 13일 LOS ANGELES – Sony Interactive Entertainment America LLC (SIEA)는 6월 13일(현지 시각) 개최한 E3 프레스 컨퍼런스를 통해 PlayStation®4(PS4™) 최고의 라인업을 선보였다. 발표된 라인업은 Days Gone (SIE Bend Studio), Spider-Man (Insomniac Games), LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™ (TT Games and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment), God of War (SIE Santa Monica Studio), DEATH STRANDING (Kojima Productions), FINAL FANTASY® XV (Square Enix), RESIDENT EVIL® 7 biohazard (Capcom Co.)을 포함한 다수의 타이틀이다. 


SIEA는 또한 PS4™의 게이밍 경험을 한 단계 올려 줄 PlayStation®VR(PS VR)의 북미 출시일을 올해 10월로 공개했다. 발매일 발표와 함께 SIEA는 PS VR의 특별한 경험을 선사할 타이틀도 선보였다. 이날 공개된 타이틀은 Farpoint (Impulse Gear), Star Wars™ Battlefront™: X-Wing VR Mission (Electronic Arts), and Batman™: Arkham VR (RockSteady and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment)를 포함한다. 


SIEA사장이자 SIE WWS의 수장인 Shawn Layden은 “PlayStation은 오랜 시간 혁신적이고 획기적인 게임 플레이 제공을 위해 개발되어 왔고, 오늘 PS4™와 PS VR 컨텐츠 발표는 게임의 진화를 위한 우리의 지속적인 헌신을 보여주는 대목”이라고 밝혔다. 또한 “God of War의 재해석부터 Days Gone과 같은 새로운 타이틀 까지, 이번 E3를 통하여 PlayStation 역사상 가장 뛰어난 라인업을 선보였다”며, “PS VR의 출시와 함께 PlayStation의 혁신은 계속 이어질 것이고, 소규모 독립팀들부터 대형 스튜디오까지 모두가 우수한 기술을 바탕으로 VR의 잠재력을 상징할 수 있는 특별한 경험을 유저들에게 전하게 될 것”이라고 덧붙였다. 


PlayStation®4
PS4™는 역사상 가장 빠르게 판매되고 있는 콘솔로써 판매량이 전세계 4천만대를 달성했다. 이번에 Los Angeles의 Shrine Auditorium에서 시연된 새로운 타이틀들은 유례없는 규모의 PS4™ 컨텐츠 라인업이다.

SIE의 Worldwide Studios (SIE WWS)는 컨퍼런스를 통해 God of War, Spider-Man, Days Gone으로 이어지는 세 가지의 신규 타이틀을 소개했다. Santa Monica Studio에서 개발된 God of War는 상징적 캐릭터인 Kratos의 다음 이야기를 이어나갈 만한 새로운 게임플레이를 선사했다. 타이틀 발표에는 God of War의 음악작곡을 맡은 유명한 아티스트 Bear McCreary도 소개되어 라이브 오케스트라의 연주가 이어지는 동안 그의 게임에 대한 점수도 함께 공유했다. 


PS4™ 타이틀 Spider-Man은 플레이어들에게 새로운 스파이더맨의 스토리라인을 최초로 소개했으며, Insomniac Games와 Marvel 그리고 San Mateo Studio의 공동 개발 또한 발표 되었다. 

추가적으로 Days Gone은 Bend Studio의 귀환을 알린 작품으로, 리얼한 태평양 연안 북서부의 황량한 사막 지대를 배경으로 펼쳐지는 오픈월드 게임의 라이브 데모를 선보였다.  


그 밖에 SIE WWS가 발표한 내용 중 가장 기대를 많이 받고 있는 타이틀은 Horizon Zero Dawn, Detroit: Become Human, 그리고 The Last Guardian이 있다. SIEA는 또한 The Last Guardian의 출시일을 2016년 10월 25일로 공개했다. 또한 SIE와 유명 게임 제작자인 Hideo Kojima의 파트너쉽으로 탄생한 PS4™ 독점작, Death Stranding의 개발이 발표됐다. Death Stranding은 프로듀싱, 각본부터 디자인까지 Hideo Kojima에 의해 제작되며, 유명 영화배우 Norman Reedus가 주연으로 출현한다.


풍부한 SIE WWS만의 출시 컨텐츠 외에도 시장을 선도하는 개발사와의 파트너쉽은 PS4™를 최고의 게이밍 시스템으로 굳건히 자리잡게 할 것이다. SIEA는 미디어 컨퍼런스에서 PlayStation 팬들이 좋아하는 Crash Bandicoot의 부활을 위해 Activision과 함께 한다고 밝혔다. 오는 10월 PS4™에서 첫 공개 되는 Crash는 가장 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 프랜차이즈 중 하나인 Skylanders® Imaginators에서 만나 볼 수 있다. 또한 2017년에는 많은 팬들이 Activision과 Vicarious Visions에 의해 리마스터 되는Crash1, Crash 2 그리고 Crash warped를 플레이 할 수 있게 된다.   


SIE는 또한 Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare로 Activision과의 파트너쉽을 이어가며, 세계 최고의 프랜차이즈 타이틀에 왜 PlayStation이 적합한지를 증명할 것이다. PlayStation®4 게이머들은 다운로드 가능한 Infinite Warfare의 맵팩을 가장 먼저 플레이 할 수 있고, 예약구매자들에 한해서 출시일인 11월 4일보다 30일 빠르게 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered의 캠페인 모드를 플레이 할 수 있는 특전이 주어지게 된다. 

그 밖에 추가적으로 발표된 타이틀에는 LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard, 그리고 FINAL FANTASY XV 가 있다. PS4™ 유저는 최초로 Lego Starwars:The Force Awakens의 데모와 PlayStation®Plus 멤버에 한해서 RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard 의 데모를 플레이 할 수 있게 된다. 또한 RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard 는 PS VR을 지원한다고 발표했다. 



PlayStation®VR 
2016년 10월 13일, 북미에서 출시되는 PS VR을 통하여 전세계 4천만 이상의 게이머들이 각 가정에서 PS VR을 즐길 수 있게 될 것이다. 

PS VR로 독점 출시되는 최고의 프렌차이즈 게임 타이틀을 통하여 더욱 더 확장 된 게임 체험이 게이머들을 기다리고 있다. 이번 컨퍼런스를 통하여 SIEA는 새로운 PS VR 타이틀들을 소개했다. 소개된 타이틀은 Farpoint, Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission, 그리고 Batman: Arkham VR 가 있다.  개발사 Impulse Gear와 SIE의 San Mateo 스튜디오는 Farpoint를 통하여 새롭고 실감나는 VR경험의 새로운 기준점을 선보일 것이다. .

Batman: Arkham VR 은 비평가들의 극찬을 받은 RockSteady 스튜디오의 작품으로 최초의 가상 현실 Batman경험을 주어 게이머로 하여금 세계 최고의 형사의 눈으로 고담 시티의 아캄 미스테리를 직접 탐험할 수 있도록 할 것이다.  

Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission은 X-wing을 조종하는 스타워즈 팬으로써는 최고의 판타지 경험을 실감나게 선사 할 것이다. 이 새로운 미션은 PS VR 독점작으로써 연말에 Star Wars Battlefront 구매자에게 무료로 제공 될 계획이다.

PlayStation®VR 타이틀의 가격은 9.99 달러부터 59.99달러까지 다양하다. 또한 PlayStation®Move 컨트롤러는 2팩 번들로 99.99달러에 판매 될 예정이다.
